We love Eaton Rapids.

Our vision at Eaton Rapids Assembly of God is to present the gospel to every home in Eaton Rapids.

Our Core Values

Our values are the driving force behind everything we put our hands to and direct our hearts toward.
As people of God, our values are defined by the WORD of God.

  • When we look at worship in the Word of God, we discover that it’s so much more than a song service on Sunday morning. Worship in its truest sense is living a life that honors God.

  • The desire to reach our community with the gospel of Christ courses through our veins. Yes we hold events throughout the year and have programs for outreach, but the purpose remains singular - pursuing the unchurched with the Love of God.

  • Healthy relationships are integral to a healthy church. Healthy doesn’t mean perfect but that we have a genuine love for one another, and that we are committed to growing together in unity and faith.

  • Biblical discipleship is not the product of programs but of relationships. We believe that everyone was created on purpose and for a purpose, and we are committed to equipping all believers for service.

Connection, Hugging, Relationship

We are a team.
We are a family.

We firmly believe that everybody has a place and a purpose in the body of Christ. Our desire is to make disciples, to see believers engaged in using the spiritual gifts that God has given them for the purpose of ministering to one another, and to reach the unchurched.

We were designed by our creator to live best within community. It’s where we grow. It’s where we flourish.

Our Beliefs

See how we view God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and many other significant aspects of our faith.
Firmly rooted in Scripture, the beliefs of ERAG guide what we teach and how we live.

  • God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

  • Jesus is both fully God and fully man. We believe He is the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross, His burial and resurrection, and His ascension into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father.

  • Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have perfect fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort.

  • The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

  • The Holy Spirit is our guide, counselor, and helper given to us the moment we receive Christ. He empowers us to understand and live out spiritual truth, to grow in our faith, to spread the good news of Christ, and to exercise spiritual gifts in our daily lives.

  • We believe the Bible is God's Word and is for all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

  • Water Baptism is an outward expression of the inward transformation that happens once we surrender our lives to Christ. The immersion and subsequent emergence from the water is a physical picture of a powerful spiritual truth - we have been raised from death to new life in Christ.

  • The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

ERAG is a Christian congregation and part of a fellowship of churches known as the Assemblies of God (“the AG.”)
As a member of the AG, we agree to teach and abide by Our 16 Fundamental Truths.
